Recent reports indicate that Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis have welcomed their third and fourth children together. Their third child, a daughter named Arcadia, was born on February 28, 2024. More recently, in February 2025, Zilis announced the birth of their fourth child, a son named Seldon Lycurgus. The exact birthdate for Seldon Lycurgus has not been publicly disclosed.
This news would bring Elon Musk’s total number of children to 14.
Shivon Zilis, a Canadian executive at Musk’s neurotechnology firm Neuralink, confirmed the birth of Seldon Lycurgus via a post on X (formerly Twitter). In her announcement, which coincided with their daughter Arcadia’s first birthday, Zilis wrote, “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia‘s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much.” Musk responded to the post with a heart emoji.
The name Seldon is believed to be a reference to Hari Seldon, a character from Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation” series, a favorite of Musk’s. Lycurgus was the legendary lawgiver of Sparta.
These additions to the Musk family have been reported by numerous media outlets, citing Zilis’s social media announcement and Musk’s response.
Prior to Seldon Lycurgus and Arcadia, Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis had twins, Strider Sekhar Sirius and Azure Astra Alice, born in November 2021.
